Getting Back On Track

Tomorrow starts a new month! A new beginning to my weight loss efforts. In order to help me stay on track I am setting Daily, Weekly and Monthly goals.

My Daily Goals:

Track my Food/Beverage intake and stay under my slotted 2,100 calories

My Weekly Goals:

Walk 3 days a week

My Monthly Goals:

Lose 10lbs

Clock in 750 activity minutes


My Weight Today: 310lbs

Day 34 - Getting It Together

I've had a crazy couple weeks and went off plan a few times >) But I'm weighing in tomorrow and praying it isn't too bad!

I've been juicing, which is really fun since my kids love it too. Tonight was carrot apple juice! Not a huge hit with the kids as we had tons of carrots and a limited supply of apples.

Day 22 - My First Juicing

I got a great juicer from a fellow Freecycler! So as soon as I got home and cleaned it I looked around the house to see what fruits and veggies I had on hand.

My first juice included:

5 stalks of organic celery hearts
1 package of organic apple slices
1 peach

I was skeptical of the green muck that came out and separated into two layers but I figured it was now or never. I brought out the "good glasses" and went for it! It was good, actually really good!

Jahvar came in with the look of disgust on his face and said,"what's that?" I showed him the juicer and how it worked and he wanted to try it. I let him try it and he liked it. So did Lillee! Looks like we are going to be a juicing family!!!

Day 17- The Battle Continues

Well, I have come to the conclusion that the reason I didn't loose any weight last week is because I binge eat at the end of the night. My daily routine is to get up about 6:30-7:00am and lay in bed with the kids for about an hour. Then I mad dash to get the girls dressed, fed and ready to go while Owen gets Jahvar ready and out the door onto the bus. When he comes back from the bus stop he takes over with the girls while I get dressed and we all rush out the door. Rarely, if ever I will grab a piece of fruit or bag of veggie chips for the road but that's about as far as I go with breakfast.

Then during the day we are either running errands, getting deliveries or at the office working on countless things that need to be done. I don't even think about eating during the day. But, when 3 o'clock comes and its time to pack up and head to the bus stop to get Jahvar I am starving. I snack while I fix the kids their snack. I snack while I make Owen's dinner. I snack while I make the kids dinner, I snack while I make my dinner and then I snack on and off all night while I do whatever it is I am doing that night. I have been making better food choices but my bad eating habits are still there.

This week, I have been working on trying to correct that problem. I still haven't taken the time for breakfast but I have been bringing a snack with me for during the day. I still snack all night but I am more aware of it and my goals for the rest of the week and next is to get my snacking habits cut back and start making meals for breakfast and lunch.

I weighed in today at 310.6 which means I gained a pound this week. I need to readjust my plan and get back on track.

Day 12- Revamp

Monday I will be revamping this blog and my weight loss journey! I will be adding in an exercise routine and eliminating my late night munching! I have 2 more days but I think I'm staying the same this week :(

Day 8 - "Before" Pictures....ugh

I had this great post planned out but I am still mobile and haven't figured out this whole new Blogger app yet. So, your getting the short and sweet version.

I'm begrudging posting my "before" pictures. I really don't want to but I know if I don't I'll regret it later when I've lost the weight.
